Food Labelling: Codex Alimentarius to review claims guidelines

The next meeting of the Codex Alimentarius Committee on Food Labelling (CCFL) on 27 October – 1 November 2024 will consider undertaking new work to revise the guidelines for the use of nutrition and health claims. 

Among the potential works for the Committee are the ‘high in’ claims and sustainability claims. 

Among the proposals regarding work previously considered by the Committee are nutrient declaration revision, specifically regarding sugar labelling, and claims framework.
