Organics: update of lists of recognised third countries, control authorities and control bodies

The EU has published a new initiative regarding import of organic products – update of lists of recognised third countries, control authorities and control bodies. The EU imports organic products from a list of third countries recognised under Article 33 (EC) No 834/2007 and from a list of control authorities and control bodies recognised under Article 33.

This initiative will update these lists on the import of organic product. The list includes changes for control authorities in Australia, India, Japan, South Korea. US and France.

Feedback period: 23 October 2024 - 20 November 2024

Commission adoption is planned for the fourth quarter 2024
