Fisheries: Commission amends application date of previously adopted rules for fishery products frozen in brine on board vessels

As addressed in a previous circular, the Commission had adopted a Delegated Regulation of 18.7.2025 amending Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning specific hygiene rules for emergency slaughter of domestic ungulates, for tuna frozen in brine and for highly refined products.

The Commission has now notified the WTO of changes to the application of these rules. The Regulation entered into force on the twentieth day after its publication, however, point (2) of the Annex to the Regulation shall apply from 27 January 2026.
